New offices provide additional resources for clinical education, surgical training, and robotic research and development
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., May 26, 2022 – Accelus, a privately held medical technology company focused on accelerating the adoption of minimally invasive surgery (MIS) as the standard of care in spine, today announced the opening of its new robotic research and development lab in Louisville, Colorado and clinical education and surgical training lab in Carlsbad, California. These facilities supplement Accelus’s corporate headquarters and flagship Accelus Clinical Education (ACE) lab in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
“Accessibility is a cornerstone of many of Accelus’s core value propositions—accessibility to anatomy without compromise and accessibility for patients to receive care with our products in outpatient as well as inpatient facilities both domestically and internationally,” said Chris Walsh, Accelus CEO and Co-Founder. “Giving our surgeons and their staff accessibility to clinical training without necessitating a transcontinental journey creates similar advantages to working with Accelus.”
The 3,731-square-foot Louisville office opened in late 2021 and houses much of the development team for Accelus’s Remi Robotic Navigation System while offering facilities to train spine surgeons and their clinical staff on how best to incorporate the Remi system into their spine surgery procedures.
The 5,722-square-foot Carlsbad office opened in early 2022 and features the company’s second ACE surgical lab. The team in Carlsbad hosted their first surgical labs in late March 2022.
